Sabah International Dairies Sdn. Bhd. (SID) was pleased to welcome students from the Diploma in Marketing programme at Politeknik Kota Kinabalu for an educational industry visit.
The visit provided the students with an opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to the operations of a local FMCG and dairy manufacturing company, while learning more about how marketing concepts are applied in a real-world business environment.
For marketing students, classroom learning is only one part of developing the skills needed for the industry. Exposure to real businesses allows students to better understand how marketing strategies, consumer behaviour, branding and product positioning work beyond the classroom.
During their visit to SID, the students had the opportunity to learn more about the company, its products and the business environment behind a local dairy manufacturer.
The experience also gave the students an opportunity to observe how a local FMCG brand operates and connects its products with consumers in the Sabah market.
As a Sabah-based dairy manufacturer, SID values opportunities to engage with students and educational institutions.
Industry visits such as this provide students with a closer understanding of the food and beverage, FMCG and marketing industries, while encouraging them to explore potential career opportunities within the sector.
